THE FACILITATORS
PETER
was born on Christmas Eve 1971 in Bavaria, southern Germany. Curiosity has always been his strongest drive — as a child he wanted always to know what lay beyond the next hill, and later he asked the bigger questions: What is the universe? What is the purpose of life?
At age twenty, this curiosity turned into a passion for travel and adventure, which eventually led him to Latin America. Since 1998, he has lived in Vilcabamba, known as the Valley of Longevity, where together with his brother he created Izhcayluma Eco-Resort.
For many years he was fully absorbed in life itself — the bigger questions faded into the background, overshadowed by work and new experiences. Only later, after fulfilling all his earthly dreams, did he realize there was still something missing — a hole that neither material things nor adventures could fill. At 38, he turned back to the existential questions that had always been with him.
For thirteen years, he searched through traditions, teachings, and practices across the world, until finally the search itself dissolved in the realization of his true nature. Through this journey, he came to see that the underlying truth of many traditions — Tao, Kashmir Shaivism, Mahayana Buddhism, Sufism, Christian Mysticism, Shamanism, and even modern science — is the same. Beyond the limits of perception and the mind’s interpretations lies what remains unseen and little understood: the singularity of being — non-duality, not as an idea, but as reality itself.
From this recognition, Almas Curiosas was born. His motivation is simple: to create a space free from dogma, where science and spirituality meet in clarity. A place not to escape life, but to rest, look deeply, and rediscover oneself. The time to awaken to your innermost self is now — for all of us.

JHOSELYN
was born and raised in Ambato, a small town in the heart of Ecuador. A curious soul since childhood, at 18 she left her hometown for the big apple, New York City — where she was introduced to a whole new world that expanded her vision and deepened her wonder.
She graduated Magna Cum Laude from St. John’s University and Lincoln University (MBA), and along the way received certifications in Reiki, Yoga Teacher Training (500+ hrs), and Tantra. Yet, she does not believe that pieces of paper can truly measure spirituality or the depth of one’s practice. “There is no certification for how spiritual, how human, or how devoted you are,” she often says.
Five years ago, she found the path that changed her life completely: Neo-Tantric philosophy, which offers the tools to be exactly who we are — with consciousness and with love. This landed in Jhoselyn’s heart as a revelation. For years she had felt like a misfit: “too much of a woman,” too wild, too curious, too tender, too everything. Tantra made her feel at home in her own body and spirit. Nothing to fix, only to embrace.
This realization transformed not only her life but also her career. She became a lead facilitator at Durga’s Tiger School, where she now feels deeply at home — sharing the very tools that once changed her own life. Through Neo-Tantra, she came to understand that eros and sexual energy are not taboo, but natural forces woven into everything around us.
Today, Jhoselyn flows as a gypsy of the heart, moving from place to place, always following the call of love. Wherever she is welcomed, she shares her work with devotion — walking, always, the path of the heart.

HOW TO FIND US
Ecuador has two international airports: Quito (UIO) and Guayaquil (GYE). Both offer daily connections from Europe, North America, and many other parts of the world.
From Quito
The closest city to Vilcabamba is Loja, which has a domestic airport (Catamayo Airport, LOH) with daily flights to and from Quito.
From there, it’s a 1.5 hour drive to Vilcabamba. We can help arrange a private transfer so that you arrive smoothly at Izhcayluma, or you can travel by public bus.
From Guayaquil
There are no direct flights to Loja. You’ll have to come by land.
Info: Private transportation can be arranged (approx. 8–9 hours), or you can take a public bus (overnight, approx. 10–12 hours).
Another beautiful option is to make a stopover in Cuenca, a colonial city worth visiting on the way south. From Cuenca, a direct shuttle service brings you straight to Izhcayluma (approx. 6–7 hours).
If you’re already in Ecuador or in Perú, you can also find detailed instructions here.
